Thank you for your interest in attending the first CWN conference. This will be held on Wednesday 27 June 2007 at Sadler’s Wells, Rosebery Avenue, London EC1R 4TN. This will be a major opportunity to contribute to the refresh of the Government’s Children’s Workforce Strategy.
The Conference provides an excellent networking opportunity for Reference Group members to meet together and share views and needs. The conference is built around four major themes of consultation:
- Integrated working
- Professional development
- Influencing national policy
- Challenges of delivery
Issues of workforce response to supporting parenting cut across all these themes.
Each Reference Group member is invited to send one representative. There will be no charge for attending the conference, however those attending members must meet their own travel and other expenses.

A final report of the conference will be provided to the DfES in order to help them with drafting the refresh document. This conference has been deliberately designed to come at the end of the refresh period, so that it can consolidate views from many interested stakeholders, based on practice and experience in the field.
